WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – March 27, 2020

Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss

We go back to the ring and out comes WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka. No sign of Kairi Sane. Alexa Bliss is out next with Nikki Cross. Cole is joined at the announce table by Cross.

The bell rings and Asuka has words for Bliss. Bliss tells her to bring it. Bliss ducks and taunts Asuka. They have more words before going at it. Bliss unloads with forearms. They run the ropes and Bliss nails a dropkick for a 2 count. Bliss keeps Asuka grounded with a headlock now. She gets free and drops Bliss with a shoulder. Asuka mocks Cross from the ring.

Cross tries to rally the empty crowd as Asuka keeps Bliss down. Bliss comes back and sends Asuka out to the floor. Bliss mocks Asuka from the ring. Asuka comes back to the apron and they have words. Bliss sends Asuka back down to the floor. Bliss follows but Asuka kicks her and then launches her into the steel ring steps. Asuka stands tall on the floor and taunts Cross as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Asuka has Bliss grounded in the middle of the ring. Asuka rocks her with a kick and strikes against the ropes. Asuka mocks Cross again. Asuka ends up missing a Hip Attack as Bliss kicks her in the back and she goes down. Asuka turns it around and they tangle on the apron but Bliss counters and slams Asuka face-first into the apron by her arm.

Bliss brings it back into the ring for a close 2 count. Bliss continues to focus on the arm. Bliss with a big kick. Asuka charges but misses as Bliss moves. Asuka hits the turnbuckles hard. Bliss with a clothesline and right hands. Bliss goes on but misses a moonsault as Asuka moves, rolling to the floor. Bliss chases Asuka back to the apron, dropping her face-first into the apron. Bliss keeps control and brings Asuka back in for a 2 count, and another. Cross is extra annoying on commentary tonight. Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock but Bliss rams her back into the corner.

Bliss rolls Asuka out of the corner and nails a big DDT in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.

Winner: Alexa Bliss

After the match, Cross hits the ring to celebrate with Bliss as the music hits. We go to replays. Cross and Bliss hug in the ring as Asuka crawls on the outside.

  WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – March 13, 2020

The music hits and out comes Sasha Banks with SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley to start the show. They look ready to talk trash to the crowd but there is no crowd. They laugh some as they walk down the ramp and take the mics. They stop in front of Cole and Triple H at the announce table. They talk about how they decided to kick off the show and it doesn’t matter how big the crowd is because it’s still their house.

Bayley asks Triple H where Paige is. Cole says Paige is having travel issues. Banks and Bayley can’t believe it. Triple H jokes about being sick of excuses. Banks and Bayley go on about Paige being jealous, just like every other woman in WWE. The music interrupts and out comes Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

Bliss and Cross talk about how they’ve been looking for WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane, and might have to go to RAW, but they’re also tired of Banks and Bayley. They go on and are ready for a match if Banks and Bayley are. The two sides have words. Bayley calls Cross a “little idiot” and calls for a referee.

Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

The bell rings as Nikki Cross starts off with Bayley, going back and forth. Bayley gets double teamed early on. Alexa Bliss goes to the top after dropping Bayley in the corner with a slap.

Sasha Banks runs over on the outside and pulls Bayley to safety. Cross runs over and nails a crossbody off the steel ring steps, taking Banks down on the floor in front of Cole and Triple H. Bliss kicks Bayley from the ring, sending her face-first into the announce table. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Bliss gets double teamed in the corner. Cole and Triple H joke around on commentary and explain to the viewers again about the Performance Center. Bliss gets rolled up but fights back. Bliss counters a side slam and takes Banks down. Banks sends Bliss face-first into the turnbuckles and then delivers the running knees for a 2 count. Bayley ends up coming in and taking over on Bliss, beating her around the ring. Banks connects with a cheap shot at one point from the apron as Bayley distracts the referee. Cross tries to rally from the apron.

Another tag between Banks and Bayley as Bliss tries to fight back and rolls Bayley up. Triple H jokes about Cross rallying for an empty arena again. Banks comes back in and shuts Bliss down. Banks with a suplex in the middle of the ring. Banks grounds Bliss again now as Triple H and Cole continue to joke around, this time about Mauro Ranallo.

Bliss continues to get double teamed for a few more minutes. She finally mounts some offense and makes a hot tag to Cross. Cross unloads on Banks and nails a bulldog. Cross and Banks trade counters and pin attempts now. Cross with a backslide for another 2 count. All four get involved now. Bliss returns to the apron after leaving Banks and Bayley laying.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka suddenly appears at ringside and takes Bliss down on the floor. This leads to Banks applying the Banks Statement on Cross for the submission win.

Winners: Sasha Banks and Bayley

After the match, Asuka taunts Bliss and Cross from the ramp. Triple H jokes about Asuka running in through the crowd. Banks’ music hits as she heads to the corner to pose for the crowd that isn’t there.

  WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – March 6, 2020

We go right to the ring for “A Moment of Bliss” as Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross welcome us. Greg Hamilton introduces Cross as Alexa’s best friend. Bliss welcomes us and fans pop. She says they continue to celebrate the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Class on the Road to WrestleMania 36.

Bliss and Cross show graphics for 2020 inductees The Bella Twins, Batista and JBL. Bliss also sends a warning to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors and tells them to stop hiding out on RAW, come face them. Bliss goes on and introduces 2020 WWE Hall of Famers the nWo – Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean “X-Pac” Waltman. Out they come to a pop, wearing nWo t-shirts and using the signature music. Cole mentions how Hulk Hogan is also in the group for the induction this year.

Cross marks out for the nWo and takes a selfie with them. Bliss goes on and brings up how they once feuded with WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg. Some fans chant for Goldberg. Nash mentions talking to Roman Reigns earlier this week and jokes about using a caddie prod to beat him at WrestleMania 36. Cross, Bliss and the nWo continue their discussion until the music interrupts. Out comes Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro.

Sami speaks on the way to the ring and mentions how they will win the WWE Intercontinental Title from Braun Strowman at Elimination Chamber on Sunday. Sami ends up taking a shot at Waltman, saying he carried the bags for Hall and Nash for years. Waltman stands up and asks Sami what’s up. Nash picks on how Sami looks. Sami says they could drop the nWo in seconds. Nash says they couldn’t touch the nWo on their best day. Waltman says on any day. The nWo stands up and faces off with Cesaro, Zayn and Nakamura now. Bliss and Cross watch as fans chant for a fight. Sami backs down and says the nWo just wants the rub from them, and that’s not going to happen because they are focused on destroying Braun. Sami and his crew are outside of the ring now. The music hits and out comes Strowman to a big pop.

Cesaro runs up the ramp and attacks Braun on the stage. Strowman fights back and launches Cesaro into the LED screens. Nakamura runs up now but Strowman headbutts him, then launches him into the barrier. Braun stares Sami down now. Sami runs back into the ring but falls down in front of Waltman. Sami is trapped now as Braun enters the ring. Braun approaches but Sami puts Bliss in front of him. Fans boo. Cole calls Sami a coward. Sami escapes to the floor. Braun throws a chair at him and it just misses. Braun tosses more furniture out as Sami, Cesaro and Nakamura look on. Braun takes the mic and promises that all three will get these hands on Sunday. The nWo joins Braun at the mic as he says it will be “too sweet!” this Sunday. The nWo music hits to end the segment.

  WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – February 21, 2020

Back from the break and out comes Alexa Bliss for the latest edition of her “A Moment of Bliss” segment. She welcomes us to a special Hall of Fame edition of her show.

Bliss goes over the names announced for the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Class so far – Batista and the nWo. She then announces The Bella Twins for the Hall of Fame. She brings out Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, who are both pregnant. Fans cheer them on as Bliss congratulates them. Nikki talks about how grateful they are and says they wouldn’t be where they are and would not have broken the barriers they did over the years if it weren’t for their Bella Army. Brie agrees and gives praise to the women’s division for how they continue to raise the bar. Brie also mentions how grateful they are. They bring up their pregnancies and how they’re a week and a half apart. Brie says with that and Nikki’s engagement, the Hall of Fame induction is just the cherry on top of a great year. They go on and thank the fans some more, and say they better see the Bella Army in Tampa for the induction ceremony. The music hits and they celebrate some until Daniel Bryan’s music hits. Bryan comes out with their daughter Birdie. He greets The Bellas and hands the kid over to his wife. Bryan heads to the ring as a “Yes!” chant starts up. Back to commercial.

  WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – February 14, 2020

We go to the stage for a special Valentine’s Day edition of “A Moment of Bliss” with Alexa Bliss and co-host Nikki Cross.

Bliss welcomes us to the first “Moment of Bliss” of 2020. Cross wishes everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day. Cross wants to talk about celebrity crushes and tells Bliss to go first. Bliss asks if she should say it, should she reveal hers. Cross interrupts and says it’s Brad Pitt. Bliss hesitates but then agrees, you’re right. They go on and Bliss introduces her guest for tonight. Out comes the #1 contender Carmella.

Bliss congratulates Carmella and says some people say the victory last week was surprising because we haven’t heard a lot from Carmella lately. Carmella loves surprises and will surprise everyone when she takes the title from Bayley later tonight. They bring up Carmella’s former friendship with Bayley and we see photos of them together. Carmella blames the end of their friendship on Sasha Banks. She goes on about how Bayley has changed for the wore since Banks came back. Bliss brings up her friendship with Cross but the music interrupts and out comes the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Bayley says Carmella is nauseating. Bayley says this isn’t about Banks, it’s about Carmella. She says they were friends, not best friends but friends going back to NXT. Bayley goes on and calls Carmella a loser, adding that she is the most dominant champion we’ve seen. Bliss interrupts but Bayley mocks her and brings up their recent matches. Fans continue to boo Bayley. Bayley says nobody can touch her. Carmella gets up and gets in Bayley’s face. Carmella says let’s fight right here and now. Fans pop as she drops the mic and heads to the ring. Bayley watches from the stage and seems worried. She hesitates before walking to the ring.

  WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – February 7, 2020

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are backstage talking about tonight’s Fatal 4 Way for a future title shot. Bliss teases that she has something “twisted” up her sleeve.

#1 Contender’s Fatal 4 Way: Alexa Bliss vs. Carmella vs. Dana Brooke vs. Naomi

We go to the ring for tonight’s Fatal 4 Way main event. Carmella, Dana Brooke and Alexa Bliss are already out. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley is at ringside talking trash. The winner of this match will earn a title shot. Naomi is out next with her glow entrance.

The bell rings and they all go at it with several pin attempts and counters. Bliss slaps Carmella after Brooke dropkicks Naomi. More back and forth between everyone. Naomi ends up hitting a big corkscrew plancha to take everyone else down on the floor.

Bayley stands over them and raises her title. Fans boo. Naomi brawls with Bayley but Bayley gets the upperhand. Bayley launches Naomi into the steel ring steps and stands tall as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and everyone is still going at it in the ring. The pin attempts and counters continue for a few minutes. Bliss slaps and drops Carmella with a right hand, then drops knees on her. Brooke rocks Bliss and nails a powerbomb for a 2 count as Carmella makes the save. Carmella unloads on Brooke in the corner now. Carmella does the moonwalk for a pop. Carmella with the Bronco Buster. Naomi comes in to take Carmella down. Naomi with the split-legged moonsault but Brooke breaks the pin up.

Brooke and Naomi tangle now. Naomi with a big Stunner. Bliss breaks the pin up with a dropkick. Bliss works Naomi over in the corner now. Naomi counters out of nowhere and rolls Bliss for a close 2 count. Naomi slams Bliss and drops a leg for a 2 count. Bayley looks concerned at ringside now as Naomi keeps control of Bliss. Naomi takes Bliss to the top and they trade shots. Bliss shoves Naomi to the mat and comes down for a 2 count.

Bliss works Naomi over and shows a little bit of frustration. Bliss drops Naomi and runs in with a slap to the face for a 2 count. Bliss has a few words for the referee. Naomi with a big elbow to the jaw. Brooke and Carmella are back in now. Naomi launches Bliss into Carmella and she goes down. Naomi slams Brooke from the apron. Naomi with a split-legged leg drop on Brooke for a 2 count. Naomi tosses Brooke out to the floor. Bliss sends Naomi into the middle turnbuckle. Bliss takes Naomi down in the corner a few more times. Bliss goes to the top to a mixed reaction. Bliss goes for Twisted Bliss but Naomi gets her knees up.

Naomi gets right up and hits a Rear View on Bliss. Carmella breaks it up and delivers two straight superkicks to Naomi. Carmella covers for the pin to win the title shot.

Winner and New #1 Contender: Carmella

After the match, Carmella’s music hits but Bayley immediately rushes the ring and puts Carmella down face-first into the mat, from behind. Bayley retreats to the stage as Carmella recovers. There’s no word on when Carmella will get her title shot. We go to replays. SmackDown on FOX goes off the air with Bayley clutching her title on the ramp as Carmella stares back at her from the ring.

  WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – January 31, 2020

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose

We go back to the ring as Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss make their way out. The winners of this match will become the new #1 contenders to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane, The Kabuki Warriors. We go to another break.

Back from the break and Cole plugs the NFL’s Super Bowl LIV and shows us highlights from WWE’s Halftime Heat in 1999. We go back to the ring as Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville come out. The bell rings as Rose and Deville attack Bliss and Cross in the corner as they’re talking. Cross ends up trapping Deville in the apron on the outside, beating her up. Bliss comes over and rocks Deville. Rose nails Bliss on the floor and Deville sends Bliss into the announce table. Deville brings Bliss in the ring and works her over as the referee backs her off, warning her and checking on Bliss as she holds her neck. The bell finally rings.

Deville goes right for a 2 count on Bliss. Deville with knees to Bliss while she’s down. Rose tags in and stomps on Bliss in the corner. Fans try to rally for Bliss but in comes Deville on another tag. Deville controls Bliss and grounds her. More back and forth between the two sides now. Cross breaks up Rose’s 2 count on Bliss. Rose takes Bliss back to the corner and beats her down. Deville and Rose with more quick tags. Bliss finally drops Deville with a big strike. Cross reaches for a tag as Bliss slowly crawls. Rose tags in and goes for Bliss but gets sent into the bottom turnbuckle.

Bliss finally tags in Cross. Cross unloads on Rose with clotheslines, then knocks Deville off the apron for a pop. Cross splashes Rose int he corner and hits the running bulldog. Cole now said the winners “may” earn a future title shot from Sane and Asuka. Cross screams some more and runs wild, going to the top. Cross nails a crossbody to Rose for a 2 count as Deville breaks it up with a running knee. Bliss runs in and drops Deville with a right hand.

Rose turns it around on Cross and drops her. Cross comes back with a neckbreaker. Bliss tags in and goes to the top as fans cheer her on. Bliss nails Twisted Bliss on Rose for the pin to win.

Winners and New #1 Contenders: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

After the match, the announcers are giving mixed signals on if Cross and Bliss have earned a title shot or not. The music hits as they celebrate and we get replays.

  WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – January 24, 2020

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

Back from the break and out comes Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. We see highlights from Bliss’ win over Sonya Deville last week, which involved Otis and Mandy Rose distracting at ringside. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose are out next as Greg Hamilton does the introductions. Cole shows us footage from earlier today with Rose apologizing to Deville for what happened last week. Deville says it’s nothing, it’s stupid and she should not have asked Rose to get Otis involved.

The match begins but the backstage women’s brawl from before immediately spills out into the ring. The referee calls the match as the big brawl continues with Lacey Evans and Bayley in the ring. Officials try to break things up as Cole hypes Evans vs. Bayley at the Royal Rumble for the title.
